कोहलीये तु कश्च� विशे� उक्त�, � यथा�
सममर्धसम� चेति विषम� गीतक� त्रिधा �
पद� समानमात्रैस्तु चतुर्भिः सम उच्यते � �.४८� �
तृतीयप्रथम� पादौ सम� तु द्विचतुर्थकौ �
जायत� यस्य गीतस्य तदर्द्धसममीरितम� � �.४८� �
चत्वारोऽपि पृथक्पाद� यस्य मात्रानुसंख्यय� �
तद्गीतं विषम� प्राहुर्मुनय� भरतादय� � �.४८� �kohalīye tu kaścana śṣa ܰٲ�, sa yathā�
� ceti ṣa� īٲ첹� ٰ |
padai samānamātraistu caturbhi� sama ucyate || 1.485 ||
tṛtīyaprathamau pādau samau tu dvicaturthakau |
jāyate yasya gītasya tadarddhasamamīritam || 1.486 ||
catvāro'pi pṛthakpādā yasya mātrānusaṃkhyayā |

The author ʳܰṣoٳٲ Miśrā describes the varieties of ṣuīٲ in detail and then he says that some varieties have been enumerated in dzīⲹ.
According to Kohala, īٲ첹 is of three types�
When all four 岹 have equal number if ٰ, it is known as sama. When the first and third 岹 are equal and the second and fourth are equal, it is ardhasama, and when the four 岹 have different number if ٰ it is ṣa īٲ첹. The same verses are also found in the work ṅgīṇaԻ첹[1] and ṅgīٲṇi[2].
Miśrā and ī첹ṇṭ make a note that these are types of ṅkīٲ.
इद� सङ्करगीतविषयमिव प्रतिभात� �

The use of the word īٲ첹 is interesting.
ṭyśٰ refers to varieties of īٲ첹 such as�
The mention of Bharata in this above extract is more confusing because ṭyśٰ does not mention sama, ardhasama or ṣa īٲ첹s.
