Story of 搁辞丑颈峁嚹�
The mother of Balabhadrar膩ma.
General information.
Vasudeva had two wives 顿别惫补办墨 and 搁辞丑颈峁嚹�. 艢r墨 碍峁涐梗峁嘺 was born from 顿别惫补办墨 and Balabhadrar膩ma from 搁辞丑颈峁嚹�.
Previous Birth of 搁辞丑颈峁嚹�.
Vasudeva was the rebirth of 笔谤补箩腻辫补迟颈 碍补艣测补辫补. When 碍补艣测补辫补 took birth as Vasudeva, his two wives Aditi and 厂耻谤补蝉腻 took birth as 顿别惫补办墨 and 搁辞丑颈峁嚹� respectively. (They took birth thus, because of the curse of 痴补谤耻峁嘺. For details of the curse see under 碍补艣测补辫补, para 6).
The birth of Balabhadra.
The seventh child of 顿别惫补办墨 was placed in the womb of 搁辞丑颈峁嚹� and Balabhadrar膩ma was born. (For this story see under 碍峁涐梗峁嘺, para 6, 碍补峁僺补, para 6 and 峁岣峚rbhaka).
Death.
As soon as a messenger named 顿腻谤耻办补 brought the news that the entire race of the 驰腻诲补惫补蝉 had perished in 顿惫腻谤补办腻,
"because of grief, Vasudeva, 顿别惫补办墨 and 搁辞丑颈峁嚹� forsook their bodies." (叠丑腻驳补惫补迟补, Skandha 11).
