īٲ (Āyurveda scholar)

īٲ–He was one of six disciples of Punarvasu Āٰⲹ, contemporary to Ծś, Bhela etc., scholars. He composed a treatise named īٲ ṃh, the original book is not available and the available book appears to be written in the tenth to the eleventh AD.

The name īٲ was quoted in may famous medical treatises like Tattva-䲹Ի, Tattva-Pradīpikā, -ʰś, Caraka-ṃh, Suśruta-ṃh etc. īٲ ṃh consists of seven ٳԲ and one hundred three chapters as follows: Vaidyaguṇa- ṣa, Śٰ Reading Rules, Vaidyaka sarvasva, Vaidya śṣ�, Ṛtܳ, Doṣaprakopa, ṣaḍarasa, Jalavarga, Trivarga, Mūvarga, ṣu, Kāñjikavarga, Maṇḍavarga, ūṣa, Tailabasāvarga, Dhyānavarga, Ś첹, Phalavarga, Madhuvarga, Madhyavarga, 䲹ٳṣp岹-meat-Varga, Jalacara-meat-Varga, Sthalacarameat- Varga, Anyāpana -Varga etc. The second sthāna consists of nine chapters. This sthāna described Pāpaṣa پ, Svapnādhyāya, Svāsthyāriṣṭa, Vyādhyariṣṭā, ʲñ-indriya-, ṣaٰ ñԲ, Homabidhi, Dūtaparīkṣ�, description of ŚūԲ etc. The third sthāna consists of fifty-eight chapters described this sthāna are herbal medicine, diagnosis of fever, پ Virecana, Gulma, ṛm, different types of fire and diagnosis, Śū, ṇḍܰDz, erosion, hemoptysis, haemorrhoids, cough, ṛṣṇ�- defect, fainting, sleep, Ѳٲⲹⲹ, Dāharoga, , Գ岹, ٲ, Āٲ, Dṛghnasi, ٲٲ, Amlabṛtta, Śǰ첹, Gulma, Jalodara, Prameha, ūٰṛc, Mūtrarodha, śī, Mūtrabṛddhi, Bisarpa, Upasarpa, Braṇa, Śī貹岹, Arbudha, Lūtāgaṇḍamālā, ṣṭ, Urdhvajatru, Gataroga, ŚǰDz, Bhrūroga, Nasal Disease, Indralupta, Ear Disease, Eye Disease, Oral Disease, Bajīkaraṇa, ٰīDz bibecana, gynaecology, Hrallasi, Chardi etc., treatment of the eight infestations of the pregnant woman, stupid pregnancy treatment, ūپDz treatment, Bālaroga Treatment, ūٲ, Biṣatantra, fracture treatment, and burn treatment etc. The fourth sthāna consists of six chapters. This sthāna described are–Tulāmāna-Bidhi, Tailapāka-Bidhi, Niruha-Bastikarma-Bidhi, Svedana-Bidhi, Raktābasecana-Bidhi, Jalokābacāra-Bidhi, etc. The fifth sthāna consists of five chapters. This sthāna described are-Ჹīٲī첹貹, հ󲹱첹貹, Rasonakalpa, Gugulukalpa etc. The sixth sthāna consists of one chapter and Pariśiṣṭa sthāna consists of one chapter[1].
