हुङ्कारेणै� शस्त्राण�
तेषा� हस्तेभ्य आभयात्
पेतुर् अम्र-फलानी�
दण्ड-घातैश् � मैथि�
huṅkāreṇaiva śastrāṇi
teṣāṃ hastebhya ābhayāt
petur amra-phalānīva
岹ṇḍ-ghātaiś ca maithila
ṅkṇa�by the roar; 𱹲�indeed; śٰṇi�the eapons; ٱṣām�of them; ٱⲹ�from the hands; �out of fear; ٳḥ�fell; amra-Ծ�mangoes; �like; 岹ṇḍ-ٲḥ�with a stick; �and; maithila�O king of Ѿٳ.
English translation of verse 5.8.39:
The brothers were terrified by that roar. Their weapons suddenly fell, as mangoes fall when hit by a stick.
