It is a technical term used throughout Ayurvedic literature such as the Caraka-sa峁僪it膩 and the Su艣ruta-sa峁僪it膩. This synonym was identified by Amarasi峁僪a in his 础尘补谤补办辞艣补 (a Sanskrit botanical thesaurus from the 4th century).
