1) ŚūtraٳԲ (शूत्रस्थान) refers to the first of the eight sections of the 䲹첹ṃh which enjoys a prime position among Ayurvedic treatises and is written in the form of advices of the sage Ātreya to the sage Agniveśa. The 䲹첹ṃh contains eight sections [viz., śūٰٳԲ]. ūٰٳԲ contains 30 chapters. Of them the first 28 chapters are divided into seven subsections namely ٳṣa첹 viz. ṣaᲹٳṣk, ٳⲹٳṣk, Ծśٳṣk, ܱ貹첹貹峦ٳṣk, Dzٳṣk, Ჹ峦ٳṣk and ԲԲԲٳṣk.

2) ŚūtraٳԲ (शूत्रस्थान) also refers to one of the six sections of the śܳٲṃh, another important Ayurvedic treatise. The discourses of the teacher Divodasa are believed to be summarised by his disciple Suśruta, who wrote the work śܳٲṃh in 4th century CE. śܳٲṃh contains six sections [viz., ūٰٳԲ]. ūٰٳԲ contains 46 chapters. Here the food and drinks are described on the basis of liquid and solid items.

3) ŚūtraٳԲ (शूत्रस्थान) also refers to one of the five sections of the 5th century ṣṭṅgṛdⲹ by Vāgbhaṭa. ṣṭṅgṛdⲹ is divided into two�ūٲԳٰ and uttaratantra. In the ūٲԳٰ there are five divisions which go by the names ūٰٳԲ, ԾԲٳԲ, śīٳԲ, 쾱ٲٳԲ and 첹貹ٳԲ. In ūٰٳԲ of ṣṭṅgṛdⲹ the chapters like ⲹñīⲹ (liquid and solid food items), ԲԲū貹ñīⲹ (innermost form of food) and ԲԲṼ۲ṣaṇīy (the and the protection of food items) discuss the topic food-science.
