: Shangpa Kagyu: The Five CyclesSheer Clarity (or Clear Light) refers to one of the �Six Roots�, also known as the Six Yogas of Niguma [or the Six Doctrines of Niguma] (rtsa ba ni gu chos drug). They are the first section of the “Five Golden Teachings� [or “Five Golden Dharmas�, “Five Precious Dharma of Shangpa�, “Five Jewels of Niguma”] (Tibetan: gser chos lnga). These five golden doctrines of the Shangpa are likened to a tree. These are all associated with the principal teachings of the Shangpa Kagyu. The Six Roots are [e.g., sheer clarity].

Tibetan Buddhism includes schools such as Nyingma, Kadampa, Kagyu and Gelug. Their primary canon of literature is divided in two broad categories: The Kangyur, which consists of Buddha’s words, and the Tengyur, which includes commentaries from various sources. Esotericism and tantra techniques (Բ) are collected indepently.
