10. Description of Saṃpuṭa-Yoga
This yoga is referred in the DZ貹Ծṣa. The expedient of the ٳṣp岹 is treated as ṃpṭa yoga. It is called so because of the meeting place of four 徱 like ṣu, idā, 辱ṅg and kuhu. It is also called ūԻ. The three 徱 of idā, 辱ṅg and kuhu experience access-obstruction and burst out only one path, that is ṣu. Here ܻԲ, the vital air, raises up along with ṇa through ṣuṃn and goes upwards.
This is called ṃpṭa yoga:
bandho'ya� sarvanāḍīnāmūrdhva� پ nirodhaka� |
aya� ca saṃpuṭo yogo mūlabandho'pyaya� mata� |
bandhatrayamanenaiva sidhyatyabhyāsayogata� || [1]
In this yoga, along with ṇa and ṇḍī mind and fire go upwards and attains . Through this yoga three Bandhas like ūԻ, jalandhara and ḍḍԲ are mastered. By the systematic and regular practice of saṃputa yoga ñԲ can be attained.
