Treatment of Rakta- (Haemoptysis)
Atharvaveda talks about Rakta- or Haemoptysis disease. On tying Audumbara ṇi this disease can be neutralized. Other than this, in Atharvaveda, the following medications are recommended as having curative properties with regards to this disease�ū, Puṇḍrīka and ʱṣa etc. Also, in Maitrāyaṇ� and Kāṭhaka ṃh Tilvaka and ūᲹ trees are mentioned. This can be used to treat Rakta- disease[1]. Atharvaveda talks about 鲹پ. Maitrāyaṇ� ṃh mentions Upavāka or Upavākā medicine or Indrayava as a treatment for Rakta- disease[2]. Atharvaveda talks of Khadira as a cure for 鲹پ[3]. Other than this Bilva, Ѳṇḍūī or root of Ѳṇḍū첹貹ṇ� is good for this disease. Ṛgveda mentions Ś tree as a cure for 鲹پ[4].
