: MDPI Books: The Ocean of Heroesma he (嘟樴紜嘟о胶) refers to a 鈥渂uffalo鈥� according to the Badzra d膩 ki rgya mtsho.鈥擜ccordingly, while explaining the 鈥淵oga of the donkey-formed (驳补谤诲补产丑腻办腻谤补测辞驳补)鈥� in the 14th chapter of the Cakrasa峁僾ara.鈥擧eruka is visualized having the face of a donkey; the deities on the Mind Circle, the face of Garu岣峚; the deities of the Speech Circle, the face of a peacock; the deities on the Body Circle, the face of a lion; Heruka鈥檚 female consort, the faces of a deer, buffalo (ma he), tiger, and owl; the four gatekeepers, the faces of animals in accordance with their names; and the four 岣屇乲in墨s, the faces of a donkey, a lion, an elephant, and a ravine vulture, respectively.鈥擭ote: The yoga of the donkey-formed is a characteristic practice that is taught in the several scriptures belonging to the Sa峁僾ara tradition.
