This page relates ‘Trishaktis and Trisiddhis� of the study on the Nitiprakasika by Vaisampayana which deals primarily with with Dhanurveda, i.e., the science of war, weapons and military strategies of ancient Indian society. It further contains details on Niti-shastra, i.e., the science of politics and state administration but most verses of the Nitiprakashika deal with the classification and description of different varieties of weapons, based on the four groups of Mukta, Amukta, Muktamukta and Mantramukta.

Triśپ and Trisiddhis

The three śپ or strength of a country are enumerated as�śپ (power, control), Գٰśپ (counsel) and ܳٲśپ (energy) (īپś VIII. 86cd):

Neither the text nor the commentary give any more information on the three śپ.

īپś (VIII. 87ab) adds that the achievements fructified by the three śپ are to be known as siddhis which are of three types with many sub-varieties:

Again, neither the text nor the commentary have anything to say about either the three siddhis or their sub-varieties.
