From that place the worship of Madhava was spread over the state. 3 Though the character of Krsna and Radha are found in the Sarala Mahabharata (Odia) but the picture of romantic play of Krsna has not been shown in that text. In the writings of poet Balarama Das, Jagannatha Das, Acyutananda Das etc. Krsna is mainly explained as divine and the supreme. Specially the imagination of Krsna as the shapeless, unattached supreme soul has been presented by these authors. After the expansion of Vaisnavism by Sricaitanya the stream of Krsna literature has been made enormous.
