Great Sage ṛg, got of his wife ʳܱdz Cyavana and Cyavana got of his wife ܰ첹Բ, Pramati. This sage Pramati married the beautiful Pratāpī and their son was Ruru.
Other details.
(i) Pramiti visited īṣm while he was lying on his bed of arrows. (Śǰ첹 5, Chapter 26, ԳśԲ Parva).
(ii) Pramiti is described as the son of Vāgindra born in the family of ṛt岹 son of īٲⲹ. (Śǰ첹 58, Chapter 30, ԳśԲ Parva). For details see under Ruru).
