Commentary
[In the M. Bh膩. on P. 2.1.55, it has been said that 蝉腻尘腻苍测补 does not stand for the universal which inheres in a very large number of individuals but other less pervasive attributes. That which exists in two things only is also 蝉腻尘腻苍测补. See M. Bh膩. I. p. 398, II.16-17. Darkness exists in 艣补蝉迟谤墨 as well as in Devadatt膩 and so it is 蝉腻尘腻苍测补. In the former it is well-known and in the latter, it is not. That is the difference.]
