विशे�-परिवृत्त� विशेषेऽविशेष�. यथ�, यान्ति नी�-निचोलिन्यो रजनीष्व् अभिसारिकाः. अत्र तमिस्रास्व� इत� रजनी-विशेषो वाच्यः.
śṣa-parivṛtto viśeṣe'śṣa�. yathā, Գپ ī-nicolinyo rajanīṣv �. atra tamisrāsv iti rajanī-viśeṣo vācya�.
(14) The fault called śṣa-貹ṛtٲ (too general) means viśeṣe aśṣa (a generality when a particular instance should be stated). For example: Գپ ī-nicolinyo rajanīṣv �. “During the nights, the women, wearing dark shawls, go on a tryst.� Here a particular kind of night should have been stated: “on pitch-black Ծٲ.� (ٲⲹ-岹貹ṇa 7.12)
