The Saṅīٲśiromaṇi (“crest-jewel of music�) is a 15th-century Sanskrit work on Indian musicology (Իśٰ). Accordingly, “evocative (ṣṭ) means that the song is loud in the fast, medium and slow speed�.
Gitashastra (गीतशास्त्र, īٲśāstra) refers to the ancient Indian science of Music (gita or samgita), which is traditionally divided in Vocal music, Instrumental music and Dance (under the jurisdiction of music).
