: Shodhganga: Kasyapa Samhita—Text on Visha Chikitsa (mantra)Vibhavamantra (विभवमन्त्र) refers to “mantras that bestow bhukti (materialistic pleasures)�, and represents a particular classification of mantras (“that which is chanted by people to obtain their spiritual aspirations�).—Another classification of mantra, according to the Pāñcarātra tradition is�para, ū and vibhava. Vyūha and vibhava mantras are further sub-divided. The vibhava mantras bestow bhukti or materialistic pleasures, while the ū and ūԳٲ-Գٰ are for mukti or liberation from the cycle of births and death. The paramantra, known as Vāsudeva-mantra, bestows mukti.
Mantrashastra (शिल्पशास्त्र, Գٰśٰ) refers to the ancient Indian science of mantras—chants, incantations, spells, magical hymns, etc. Mantra Sastra literature includes many ancient books dealing with the methods reciting mantras, identifying and purifying its defects and the science behind uttering or chanting syllables.
