Source: Wisdom Library: Vāstu-śāstraվṅg첹 (विभङ्ग�) is a variant spelling for Vibhaṅga, a Sanskrit technical term referring to classification of a temple/buidling (岹), according to ṅgṇaūٰ chapter 60. The temple is mentioned in a list of thirty-six Prāsādas having activities of the townsmen entailing Sādhārās. The ṅgṇaūٰ is an 11th-century encyclopedia dealing with various topics from the Vāstuśāstra.

Vastushastra (वास्तुशास्त्�, vāstuśāstra) refers to the ancient Indian science (shastra) of architecture (vastu), dealing with topics such architecture, sculpture, town-building, fort building and various other constructions. Vastu also deals with the philosophy of the architectural relation with the cosmic universe.
