: Google Books: The Hindu Temple, Volume 1ٳܳṇḍ (वास्तुमण्ड�):—In the ٳܱԲ (X.1-6) it is stated that the ٳܳṇḍ in which is situated the body of the Vāstupuruṣa should consist of 81 squares. This is corroborated, for instance, in the ʰDzٲ (Vāstuhoma, 1-3). There the Vāstu of 64 squares is prescribed for the rites of initiation (īṣ�), the installation of images (پṣṭ), and for sacrificial offerings (岵) whrereas it is said that the ṇḍ of Vāstu has 81 squares.
: archive.org: Catalogue of Pancaratra Agama Texts (vastu)ٳܳṇḍ (वास्तुमण्ड�) is the name of a Maṇḍala employed in Vāstu岵 (“preliminary building-site rituals�), as discussed in chapter 14 of the ʳܰṣoٳٲṃh: a Pāñcarātra text consisting of more than 1800 verses devoted to temple-building and the practical concerns of the Pāñcarātra priestly community.—Another preliminary to the actual پṣṭ-rites is to perform vāstu岵-rites, in connection with the site chosen, ah operation said to validate the whole undertaking (1-2a). First a vāstuṇḍ must be prepared and duly honored (2b-10). To the East or North of where this has been fixed a dzṇḍ貹 is built, soma is invoked, and the guardians of the directions are worshipped (11-29). Thereupon all the deities appropriate should be invoked into the vāstuṇḍ-design, whereupon the ٳܳdz is done (30-47).
