: academia.edu: The Structure and Meanings of the Heruka Ma峁囜笉ala罢谤腻蝉补苍墨 (啶む啶班ぞ啶膏え啷�) is the name of a 岣屇乲in墨 who, together with the V墨ra (hero) named Sthairya forms one of the 36 pairs situated in the Vajracakra, according to the 10th century 岣屇乲腻谤峁嘺惫补 chapter 15. Accordingly, the vajracakra refers to one of the four divisions of the 蝉补丑补箩补-辫耻峁璦 (鈥榠nnate layer鈥�), situated within the padma (lotus) in the middle of the 贬别谤耻办补尘补峁囜笉补濒补. The 36 pairs of 岣屇乲in墨s [viz., 罢谤腻蝉补苍墨] and V墨ras each have one face and four arms; they hold a skull bowl, a skull staff, a small drum and a knife; they are dark-bluish-black in color.
