Description of the chapter [迟补苍迟谤补惫测腻办丑测腻]: This chapter concerns itself with a clarification of certain ideas and terms, viz., who is the justified aspirant and what knowledge he should possess (1-11a), the nature of tantra-knowledge and its vaidika authority (11b-19), the varieties of Tantric traditions and where P膩帽car膩tra works fit into this scheme (20-25), how the P膩帽car膩tra believers鈥� extremist groups [辫腻谤补尘腻谤迟丑颈办补蝉] differ among themselves鈥攅.g., Vaikh膩nasa, S膩ttvata, 艢ikhin, Ek膩ntin, M奴laka鈥攁nd how each of these so-called groups is to be understood and how each is interrelated to the other four (26-35), how one can find within each of the foregoing groups five other divisions (into Bhaktas, Bhagavadbhaktas, D膩sas, P膩r峁das and Bh膩gavatas each is defined鈥�36-39), how the people who undergo 诲墨办峁Ｄ�-initiation are to be distinguished [Samayin, Putraka, S膩dhaka, De艣ika and Guru鈥�40-49a]. Toward the end 辫腻帽肠补谤腻迟谤补 is defined鈥攖he 5 产丑奴迟补-elements, being the objects of the 5 sense-organs, are those things which are considered to be 谤腻迟谤颈, and these 5 鈥渄arknesses鈥� lead men to ignorance from which only the present (辫腻帽肠补谤腻迟谤补) 腻驳补尘补 rescues them (49b-51a). Then follows an eulogy of the p膩帽car膩tr腻驳补尘补 (52-54a).
