Śśٴdz岹 (शाश्वतोच्छेद) refers to “eternity and discontinuity�, according to the Gaganagañjaparipṛcchā: the eighth chapter of the Mahāsaṃnipāta (a collection of Mahāyāna Buddhist Sūtras).—Accordingly, as Gaganagañja said to Ratnapāṇi: “Son of good family, the thirty-two dharmas are included in sixty-four dharmas. What are those sixty-four? [...] (21) saying thus is included in doing good actions and no distress; (22) acting as you said is included in truth and saying correctly; (23) correct application is included in being in accordance with dependent origination and avoiding eternity or discontinuity (śśٴdz岹); (24) correct exertion is included in application and the proper way; [...]’�.
