: WikiPedia: HinduismPracodayāt comes from the causative stem cod of the transitive verbal root cud = "to move in a specific direction." Cod = "to move (something/somebody) in a specific direction." Pra- is the prefix "forth, forward." Pracud- > pracod = "to move (something/somebody) forward." -ãt is a third person singular parasmaipada (active) precative ending. Pracodayāt = "may it move (something/somebody) forward."
