The Purana (啶啶班ぞ啶�, pur膩峁嘺s) refers to Sanskrit literature preserving ancient India鈥檚 vast cultural history, including historical legends, religious ceremonies, various arts and sciences. Source: Wisdom Library: Kath膩sarits膩gara1) 惭腻测腻惫补迟墨 (啶ぞ啶ぞ啶掂い啷�) is the name of a Vidy膩dhara who was cursed to become the elephant named Bhadrav补迟墨, according to the Kath膩sarits膩gara, chapter 13. The elephant Bhadrav补迟墨 was used by Udayana when he escaped from the clutches of king Ca峁囜笉amah膩sena, together with Vasantaka, Yaugandhar膩ya峁嘺, V膩savadatt膩 and K膩帽canam膩l膩.
2) 惭腻测腻惫补迟墨 (啶ぞ啶ぞ啶掂い啷�)is the name of a Vidy膩 dispatched by Ratnaprabh膩 to support Narav膩hanadatta in his quest to obtain princess Karp奴rik膩 from Karp奴rasambhava, according to the Kath膩sarits膩gara, chapter 42. Accordingly, 鈥渋n the meanwhile Narav膩hanadatta performed a long journey on horseback in that forest, accompanied by Gomukha. Then a maiden suddenly came up to him in his path and said to him: 鈥業 am a science [惫颈诲测腻], sent by Ratnaprabh膩, named 惭腻测腻惫补迟墨; I will guard you on the path without being seen, so proceed now without fear鈥欌��.
3) 惭腻测腻惫补迟墨 (啶ぞ啶ぞ啶掂い啷�) is the daughter of Malayasi峁僪a, an ancient king from R膩jag峁沨a, according to the Kath膩sarits膩gara, chapter 112. Accordingly, as Agni said: 鈥�... long ago there lived in R膩jag峁沨a a king named Malayasi峁僪a, and he had a daughter named 惭腻测腻惫补迟墨, of matchless beauty. One day a young man of the fisher caste, named Suprah膩ra, who was in the bloom of youth and good looks, saw her as she was amusing herself in a spring garden鈥�.
The Kath膩sarits膩gara (鈥榦cean of streams of story鈥�), mentioning 惭腻测腻惫补迟墨, is a famous Sanskrit epic story revolving around prince Narav膩hanadatta and his quest to become the emperor of the 惫颈诲测腻dharas (celestial beings). The work is said to have been an adaptation of Gu峁嚹佱笉hya鈥檚 B峁沨atkath膩 consisting of 100,000 verses, which in turn is part of a larger work containing 700,000 verses.
