The text is also the main scripture of the Shelun school in China.—The text presents most of the important doctrines of the Yogācāra system, such as the eighth consciousness (ĀⲹñԲ), consciousnessonly, the three natures (ٰ屹), defilement, two hindrances, Buddha-bodies (ٰⲹ), meditative practices that lead to enlightenment and so on.

Mahayana (महायान, mahāyāna) is a major branch of Buddhism focusing on the path of a Bodhisattva (spiritual aspirants/ enlightened beings). Extant literature is vast and primarely composed in the Sanskrit language. There are many ūٰ of which some of the earliest are the various Prajñāpāramitā ūٰ.
