The priest informs the temple management and any action with regard to the replacement of the idol takes place only with the permission of the deity which is obtained through an astrological process known as 𱹲śԲ or ‘question concerning the deity or ‘question put to the deity. ٱ𱹲śԲ is conducted by an astrologer, by making astrological calculations and ascertaining whether to replace the damaged idol or not. If it is to be replaced, then the details for the re-installation, such as the time for the installation, expiatory rituals to be performed during the re-installation process, etc. will be discussed. If it is not to be replaced, then the reasons for this will also be explained to the management of the temple as well as to the public.
