´¡»å³ó¾±°ìÄå°ù²¹±¹²¹³Ù (अधिकारवतà¥) refers to “one who is suitable (for Haá¹hayoga)â€, according to VijñÄnabhiká¹£u in his sixteenth-century SÄá¹…khyasÄra verse 6.2-3.—Accordingly: “One who is not capable of RÄjayoga, is suitable (²¹»å³ó¾±°ìÄå°ù²¹±¹²¹³Ù) for Haá¹hayoga. In the YogavÄsiṣṭha, Vasiṣṭha was taught thus by Bhusuṇá¸a. In RÄjayoga, one cultivates gnosis and, in Haá¹hayoga, the breathing exercises and postures. [Both of] them are important. Since they are auxiliaries, one [depends on] the other. They should [both] be practised according to one's capacityâ€.
