Kanthakot (Kiccha) also has an old Surya temple. The temple is a simple one, but in style and design it resembles. that of Surya temple at Bhimanatha near Prabhas. The Sikhara of the Garbhagriha and the dome of the Mandapa have fallen down.58 It consists of a square sanctum, an ambulatory, a closed hall and a porch in front of it. The ambulatory has three balconied windows around the square sanctum. The pillars of the hall are plain square (Rucaka type). The porch is also plain. The uttaranga of the squarish door-way has a panel of eight planets. 58/1 The sikhara, though completely ruined, seems to have been placed over the cella above, the ambulatory being covered with a flat roof.
