5. The form of °Õ²¹³Ù±è³Ü°ù³Üá¹£a

What is said to be the °Õ²¹³Ù±è³Ü°ù³Üá¹£a (the face of ³§²¹»åÄåÅ›¾±±¹²¹ facing the north), that is sorrounded by the region of air (³ÕÄå²â³Ü), that is conjoint with the five fires, that controls the potency of the seven crores of Mantras, that is known to be of the character of the Svaras (vowels) and ³Õ²¹°ùṇa²õ (consonants) making up the fifty letters of the alphabet, that is of the form of the Atharavaveda, that is the leader of the crores after crores of ±Ê°ù²¹³¾²¹³Ù³ó²¹²µ²¹á¹‡a (hordes), whose body is as vast and indivisible as the macrocosm, that is of the blood red colour, that grants all desires, that is of the character of medicine for all kinds of diseases of the mind as well as of the body, that is the prime cause of all created beings, their sustenence and dissolution, that wields all kinds of powers, transcends

the three states of waking, dreaming and sleeping, and is of the °Õ³Ü°ùÄ«²â²¹ state, nay that transcends even that, as the °Õ³Ü°ùÄ«²âÄå³ÙÄ«³Ù²¹, that is designated the °Õ³Ü°ùÄ«²â²¹-brahman, worthy of being adored by µþ°ù²¹³ó³¾Äå, ³Õ¾±á¹£á¹‡³Ü and others, that is the generator of all and is verily the transcendent Brahman alone.[1]
