Ś eradicates ṛsṃh’s pride taking the form of a huge bird, Ś.[1] He reduced to ashes a salacious demon, ūḍa. He is well disposed towards his worshippers.[2] Lord Ś is said to be the Śṇāgٲٲ or one who is the shelter of his devotees, īԲԻ or the friend of the poor people and the protector of the worshippers.[3]
