Hair Style
In one鈥檚 beauty, hair style is as important as ornaments which can complete the whole beauty of a face. From the early Vedic period mention about the hair style is found which is developing day by day till now.
The 惭腻谤办补峁囜笉别测补辫耻谤腻峁嘺 mentions black and curly hair both of male and female. For example, king Hariscandra鈥檚 son Rohit膩sva had black, curly, equal, long and wavy hair.[1] Also king 峁歵补诲丑惫补箩补 had black and curly hairs.[2] M膩dalasa, wife of king 峁歵补诲丑惫补箩补, also is mentioned to have black hair. In this 辫耻谤腻峁嘺, it is also mentioned that the 痴腻苍补辫谤补蝉迟丑颈苍蝉 were advised to wear matted (箩补峁�) hairs.[3] Male and female both the ascetics used to wear matted hair.[4] There are other descriptions also found in 惭腻谤办补峁囜笉别测补辫耻谤腻峁嘺 about the hair. For example, a demon called 痴颈诲测耻诲谤奴辫补 had his crest covered with rings of garlands hair.[5] Roh墨t膩sya also wore side-locks of hair.[6] King 贬补谤颈艣肠补苍诲谤补鈥檚 wife was mukta-办别蝉墨.[7] King Ketuvirya鈥檚 daughter S奴ke艣墨 and one of the wives of king Marutta have[8] lovely hair.
