The Kavya-mimamsa is written in eighteen chapters representing an educational framework for the poet (kavi) and instructs him in the science of applied poetics for the sake of making literature and poetry (kavya).

The magnum-opus Kāvyamīmāṃsā of Ჹś󲹰 thought a poetical work but it is a mine of information on numerous matters. There Ჹś󲹰 gives some striking historical and literary information. This Kāvyamīmāṃsā is appear to be the last work of Ჹś󲹰 and it deal a practical treatise for a poet and it is the first time saw a new discipline of -śṣ�. Ჹś󲹰 wrote this work in eighteen 󾱰첹ṇa but in the present time we have found only first 󾱰첹ṇa (Kavi-rahasya) alone, which divided into eighteen chapters. In the commencement of this work the author summarize the description of poetry. There Ჹś󲹰 adopts a systematic expository method. In this work, he has introduced the ideas and views of his predecessors and finally states his own views and substantiates them with illustration. Our study is related about this matter and elaborate details of this will be discusses on following chapters.
