According to the V膩ma mode of worship, the union with women is
recommended. Sexual union according to Kulac膩ra鲁8 with the following
nine types of women are recommended for the act- an actresses, a prostitute,
a K膩p膩lika-women, washer-woman, barber-woman, brahmin-woman, 艣奴dra-
woman, cowherd-woman, woman of the garland maker class. These women
are refered to as navakany膩 according to the YT and as navakany膩s
according to the GST.
'Cakrap奴j膩' is a special feature of the Kaulam盲rga. In this the
s膩dhaka and his Sakti together with seven other similar pairs offer worship
along with their Guru and his Sakti in the centre. These nine pairs form what
is known as 'Mandala' in Tantric terms. The members are known as
Mandalis and with their Guru and his spouse in the centre it is known as
'guruma峁囜笉ala'. In cakrap奴j膩, maituna forms an indispensible part of the
worship process which is practiced by these nine pairs. As a result of the
