Part 1 - 痴补迟蝉补谤腻箩补鈥擜uthor of the drama (Samudramanthana)
The author of the Samudramanthana 厂补尘补惫补办腻谤补 is 痴补迟蝉补谤腻箩补; who was a minister and court poet of Paramardideva of 碍腻濒颈帽箩补谤补. Not much is known definitely about him.
However, like B膩sa, 痴补迟蝉补谤腻箩补 has also written different varieties of drama (谤奴辫补办补蝉), i.e.
- Rukmi峁嚹玥ara峁嘺, an 莫丑腻尘峁沢补;
- 罢谤颈辫耻谤补诲腻丑补, a 岣宨尘补;
- Samudramanthana, a 厂补尘补惫补办腻谤补;
- Karp奴racarita, a 叠丑腻峁嘺;
- H膩syac奴岣嵞乵a峁噄, a Prahasana and
- Kir膩t膩rjuniya, a 痴测腻测辞驳补.
痴补迟蝉补谤腻箩补 was the minister of Paramardideva, who reigned from 1163 to 1203 century A.D. and also of Trailokyavarman who succeeded Paramardideva and lasted until the end of the first half of the 13th century. Therefore, the date of 痴补迟蝉补谤腻箩补 should be between the second half of the 12th century and the first quarter of the 13th century A.D.
