6.5. The concept of ʰٲ (withdrawal of senses)

ʰٲ is regarded as the withdrawal of senses from its objects like that of the mind which withdraws its objects.[1] In ٲ the mind is withdrawn from its objects only through the sense control. Here when the mind is restrained the senses are also automatically restrained from their object. Ānandadeva says that in ٲ of senses are withdraw from their objects.[2] Through ٲ the highest subjugation and control are attained over all senses.
