सौम्यत� तव सिसृक्षय� तनोः सा तथाप्य� रिरक्षिष� यद� �
घोरत� पुनरिय� जिहीर्षय� संस्मृतेऽम्ब तव धाम्नि शान्तत� � २७� �

saumyatā tava sisṛkṣayā tano� sā tathāpyatha rirakṣiṣ� yadā |
ghoratā punariya� jihīrṣayā saṃsmṛte'mba tava dhāmni śāntatā || 279 ||

When Śپ wills to create and protect the manifestation, she assumes the Gentle form.When she wills to withdraw the entire manifestation into her womb, she assumess the terrible form. վś śپ as Quietude state, is the power of will, in all these states in order to help the living beings attain her, by single minded meditation[1].
