Vaishnavism (Vaishava dharma)
: Pure Bhakti: Bhagavad-gita (4th edition)۳ܲ屹 (युगावतार) refers to “incarnations of the Lord who teach the particular religion for each yuga�. (cf. Glossary page from Śī--ī).
: Prabhupada Books: Sri Caitanya Caritamrta۳ܲ屹 (युगावतार) or simply Yuga refers to “incarnations in different millenniums�, according to the Śrī Caitanya Caritāmṛta 2.20.246 (“The Science of the Absolute Truth�).—Accordingly, “There are incarnations that control the material qualities [ṇa-], incarnations who appear during the reign of each Manu [ԱԳٲ-], incarnations in different millenniums [ܲ-] and incarnations of empowered living entities [śٲ屹ś-�.
The four ۳ܲ屹s are:
- śܰ (white) in Satya-yuga (Bhāg. 11.5.21),
- rakta (red) in Tretā-yuga (Bhāg. 11.5.24),
- ś峾 (dark blue) in Dvāpara-yuga (Bhāg. 11.5.27) and
- generally ṛṣṇa (black)
[but in special cases īٲ (yellow) as Caitanya Mahāprabhu in Kali-yuga (Bhāg. 11.5.32 and 10.8.13)].

Vaishnava (वैष्णव, vaiṣṇava) or vaishnavism (vaiṣṇavism) represents a tradition of Hinduism worshipping Vishnu as the supreme Lord. Similar to the Shaktism and Shaivism traditions, Vaishnavism also developed as an individual movement, famous for its exposition of the dashavatara (‘ten avatars of Vishnu�).
