: archive.org: Puranic Encyclopedia痴颈艣惫补诲别惫补蝉 (啶掂た啶多啶掂う啷囙さ啶膏).鈥擜 group of Devas. Dharmadeva married ten daughters of Dak峁, Vi艣v膩 was one of them. 痴颈艣惫补诲别惫补蝉 are the sons of Vi艣v膩. The S膩dhyas were born from S膩dhy膩, the Marutvans from Marutvat墨, the Vasus from Vas奴, the Bh膩nus from Bh膩n奴 and the Devas who boast about Muh奴rta (auspicious moment) were born from Muh奴rt膩. Lamb膩 gave birth to Gho峁 and Y膩m墨 to N膩gav墨th墨. (Vi峁ａ箛u Pur膩峁嘺, A峁兣沘 1, Chapter 15).
The Purana (啶啶班ぞ啶�, pur膩峁嘺s) refers to Sanskrit literature preserving ancient India鈥檚 vast cultural history, including historical legends, religious ceremonies, various arts and sciences. The eighteen mahapuranas total over 400,000 shlokas (metrical couplets) and date to at least several centuries BCE.
