: Shodhganga: Kohala in the Sanskrit textual tradition (ns)Rathanemi (啶班ぅ啶ㄠ啶た) refers to one of the fifty types of C膩lakas (鈥渧ariety of hand-movements鈥�), according to Kallin膩tha鈥檚 Kal膩nidhi commentary on the Sa峁単墨taratn膩kara 7.349 (Vol. IV, pp.110-125).鈥擪ohala says that though there are infinite number of 肠腻濒补办补蝉, the ones that are actively being used in 濒补办峁补 alone are being described by him. He proceeds to describe fifty 肠腻濒补办补蝉 [for example, rathanemi]. After giving a detailed explanation for each of these fifty 肠腻濒补办补蝉, Kohala says that he has just related the details about 肠腻濒补办补蝉 as mentioned by Lord 艢iva and follows that with the benefits of performing these 肠腻濒补办补蝉 (办墨谤迟颈, 尘补峁単补濒补 etc.).
Natyashastra (啶ㄠぞ啶熰啶ざ啶距じ啷嵿い啷嵿ぐ, 苍腻峁瓂补艣腻蝉迟谤补) refers to both the ancient Indian tradition (shastra) of performing arts, (natya鈥攖heatrics, drama, dance, music), as well as the name of a Sanskrit work dealing with these subjects. It also teaches the rules for composing Dramatic plays (nataka), construction and performance of Theater, and Poetic works (kavya).

Closely allied with Prakrit and Pali, Sanskrit is more exhaustive in both grammar and terms and has the most extensive collection of literature in the world, greatly surpassing its sister-languages Greek and Latin.
