A Lattice (i.e., a window-framework in architecture) is associated with Vardhamāna-hasta: one of the thirteen Combined-hand Gestures (in Indian Dramas) (known as ṃyܰٲ󲹲ٲ), according to the Viṣṇudharmottarapurāṇa, an ancient Sanskrit text which (being encyclopedic in nature) deals with a variety of cultural topics such as arts, architecture, music, grammar and astronomy.—In the 󲹳Բ posture, both hands in 󲹳貹ṣa posture are in opposite direction. According to the Viṣṇudharmottarapurāṇa, the 󲹳Բhasta posture shows lattice, window etc.

The Lattice (i.e., latticed windows) of Temples (in ancient Indian architecture) is denoted by the Sanskrit term Jāla, according to the Viṣṇudharmottarapurāṇa, an ancient Sanskrit text which (being encyclopedic in nature) deals with a variety of cultural topics such as arts, architecture, music, grammar and astronomy.—The sarvatobhadra type is a special kind of temple which is a great one and appears to be very sophisticated. According to the Viṣṇudharmottarapurāṇa, the sarvatobhadra type of temple should have kuharas (interior windows) placed to adorn the ś󲹰 and those kuharas are attached with ṣa i.e., latticed windows and a i.e., a lattice over those.
