Իǻīⲹ (गान्धारोदीच्यव�) refers to one of the پ (melodic class) related to the ⲹ-峾, according to the Nāṭyaśāstra chapter 28. It is therefore also known as Իǻīⲹپ. Jāti refers to a recognized melody-type and can be seen as a precursor to which replaced them.

According to the Nāṭyaśāstra 28.126-127, “in the Իǻīⲹ-پ the ṃśa (key note) is ṣaḍj and madhyama. There is no pentatonic treatment (ḍa / ḍaٲ) in it. Its hexatonic treatment (ḍa / ḍaٲ) will exclude ṛṣ. Its reduction (alpatva), amplification (bahutva), Բ (terminal note) and apaԲ (semi-terminal note) will be like that of the ṣaḍjǻīⲹī-پ�.
