: archive.org: Catalogue of Pancaratra Agama Texts䲹Ჹṇḍīṣāv (चक्राब्जमण्डलदीक्षाविधि) (lit. “concerning initiation of the Ჹ-ṇḍ type�) is the name of chapter 22 of the ʳܰṣoٳٲṃh: a Pāñcarātra text consisting of more than 1800 verses devoted to temple-building and the practical concerns of the Pāñcarātra priestly community.—Description of the chapter [Ჹṇḍīṣāv]: Brahmā asks to know about the initiation that allows one the privilege of worshipping God (1-2). Bhagavān replies that whoever undergoes īṣ�-initiation becomes his favored one (3). The meaning of �徱ṣ�� is given (4), as are the qualifications of those who would conduct the ceremonies (56a); the place for the initiation (6b-7a), some general counsels (7b-9), and the time when it should be performed (10-12). The step-by-step description of the īṣ�-ceremony—which lasts two days-is given (13-55). The ceremony is praised (56-59a) whereupon some directions for how to terminate the ceremony ritually (59b-61a). The remainder of the chapter (61b-80) discusses the 貹ñ-ṃs and each of the five is described more or less briefly.
