1) To descend, alight, go down to; कूपम� पन्थानम् (kūpam panthānam) &c.; come down (in general); to dismount, get down; यानासनस्थश्चैवैनमवरुह्याभिवादयेत� (ԲٳśԲܳ岹) Manusmṛti 2.22; R.4. 8; Bhaṭṭikāvya 8.14; so प्रासादात्, वृक्षाग्रात् (prāsādāt, vṛkṣāgrāt); ऐश्वर्यात् अवरूढः (ś avarūḍha�) come down from, bereft of, prosperity.
2) To approach; अचिरादवरोत्स्यसि (岹dzٲⲹ) Bhāgavata 3.33.1. -Caus. रोहयति (rohayati) or रोपयति (ropayati)
