itself as. cidrupini-sakti. Creation commences by an
initial movement or vibration (spandana) in the cosmic
stuff. Just as the nature of cit or the Siva saspect
of Brahman is rest, quiescence, so that of Prakriti is
movement (GL, p.13-14).
The universe is the outcome of the Divine Desire
(Kama) or Will (Iccha). Kama on the physical plane denotes
among other things, sexual desire. In the highest sense
it is the first creative impulse of the one to be many
whereby it begets Itself as all creatures (GL-p.6).
Dhyana is called Yoga-mudra. With the perfecting
of the yogic state on may rise to Sabda-tarmatra; or even
in Samadhi to Para-sobda and Asabda. The former is the
cosmic susputi and the latter the Turiya State from which,
when regarded as the supreme state, there is no return
(Gu, p.31).
Parasabda or Paravak is Bindu. Pasyanti is Iksana
or creative thought and action by that Bindu which is
the causal body of sabda. From this arises the subtle
body of sabda which is Tarmatra and Matrika which evolves
into the gross body sound, which is the letters (varna)
ultered by the vocal organs which are made up into syllables
and words pada) and then in sentences (vakya). Mantra, so
uttered, is a form of the gross body of sabda. And this
applies both to Bijas and other Mantras (GL, p. .32).
