niyamya and niyÄmaka in a reconciliatory manner and as
establishing the doctrine of dvaitadvaita. And also the

according to the dvaita karmÄnushá¹hÄna, which is the
only way for such realization, as the fruit of it. 459

454 Know that MÄya is Prakriti and that Mahēśvara is Mayin.
Out of his body has resulted this whole universe which pervades
everywhere. From him has been created praṇa and all the limbs
of the body. Also out of him, prÄṇa, manas and other sensory
organs have taken their origin. Vidya and avidya are subordinate to
Isa, who is quite free and unconnected and is called anva. Iśvara
is also the Kshētragna and the Lord who sees into the characteristics
of all.

459 Know that fraddhÄ and bhakti can be obtained only through
the practice of meditation in the form of Yoga. The wise can get.
their bondage burnt to ashes only through that correct knowledge
got out of the process of churning known as the practice (of medita-
tion). Both vidyÄ and avidyÄ must be understood along with it
(dhyÄna yÅga), for then only they (the wise) will have understood
Brahman by their virtue, because this Ätman can be realized only by
virtue and by a thorough knowledge through Brahmacharya practice
followed continuously.
