This page relates ‘Karmamimamsa Darshana� of the study on the Prasthanatrayi Swaminarayan Bhashyam in Light of Swaminarayan Vachanamrut (Vacanamrita). His 18th-century teachings belong to Vedanta philosophy and were compiled as the Vacanamrita, revolving around the five ontological entities of Jiva, Ishvara, Maya, Aksharabrahman, and Parabrahman. Roughly 200 years later, Bhadreshdas composed a commentary (Bhasya) correlating the principles of Vachanamrut.

2.5. īṃs ٲśԲ

Ѳ󲹰ṣi Jaimini is the founder of the īṃs ٲśԲ. �īṃs� is defined as deep thought or deliberation. Since reflection on karmas (karmamimānsā) must precede (is purva to) the reflection on Brahman (󳾲īṃs), this ٲśԲ is also identified as ūīṃs. The ٲśԲ primarily focuses on the methodical establishment of rites, such as ⲹñ, that have been advocated by the Vedas.

Jaimini was a master in Vedic methods of performing ⲹñ. He states:

ǻ岹ṣaṇo'ٳ 󲹰� || Jaimini-ūٰ 1/1/2 ||

Dharma is defined as the object which is distinguished or qualified by a command,�

Ś explains it as rites and rituals of ⲹñ described in the Vedas.

By composing the Karmaūٰ, Ѳ󲹰ṣi Jaimini sculpted a tradition of Vedic rituals into a systematic school of thought. These ūٰs establish uniformity among Vedic Śٰdzٲṃs that describe these rituals and ceremonies. Thereafter, a scholar named Ś authored a commentary known as the Ś ṣy on this text. Several sub-commentaries were also subsequently written on this commentary. The texts of this ٲśԲ offer comprehensive explanations on numerous topics, including the various types of ⲹñ; the objects used within these ⲹñ; and the form of Indra, ղṇa, Surya, Agni, and other deities, whose favor is to be attained by these ⲹñ.[2]
