The advice of Vikarala is, no doubt,
a reflection of the aphorisms of Vatsyāyana. The plans
which are told by Vätsyayana in sutra form, are described
by the poet Damodaragupta in poetry form. With all these
plans, if a lover does not leave her then she should tell
him in clear words thus- "Lover, my heart is attached to
you, but, I, who is under the protection of elder people,
cannot dis-obey the words of my mother. Hence you should

go away from this place for a few days. Thus a harlot
should try to leave a poor lover.
