adjectives show that Ratnavall comes under the Lotus-
type of the lady. It is a convention that there is no
space between the two breasts of a beautiful woman.
Hence, Ratnākara in his Haravijaya states- "The slender
maiden, with curiosity, having directed her friend to
place the lotus stalk between her breasts where there
is no place, came to know the expanse of her bosom. "40
Śrīharṣa describes the physical charm of Damayanti
in a full canto and substantiates that she belongs to
the Lotus type.
When he describes the love-lorn condi-
tion of Damayanti he states- "The breeze of the gazelle-
eyed damsel's sighs assumed the magic power of secret
