The third chapter deals with the scientific tradition of
Ny膩ya-Vai艣e峁ka and Ayurveda. The Ny膩ya-Vai艣e峁ka theory
of epistemology, especially the theory of inference, theory of
causation etc and the Pa帽cabh奴ta theory and three do峁 theory
are described in systematically on the bases of Caraka-Samhit膩,
Su艣ruta-Samhita and A峁ａ弓膩nga-h峁沝aya.
The fourth and the main chapter deals with the reflections
of Ny膩ya-Vai艣e峁ka on Ayurveda based on Caraka-Samhit膩
deals with the concept of pram膩峁嘺s in Ayurveda and its relation
is Ny膩ya-Vai艣e峁ka theory of epistemology, and its application
of diagnosis in Ayurveda. Secondly deals with the logical
speculations in medical assemblies. Thirdly described the
Vai艣esika system of philosophy and its categorical commitment
in Ayurveda.
The fifth and last chapter is conclusion. In this an attempt
is made to evaluate the deterministic outlook of Ny膩ya-
Vai艣esika and its relevance.
