.7.3 Prabandha style verses in Gg. It has been proved that Gg. comes under the Prabandha category of poem. The language of the Prabandha songs of the Gg is simple. Sanskrit influenced by the developing regional languages which had still the influence of Prakrit apabhra峁僺a on them. The text is impregnated with various aesthetic sentiments and the adirasas峁沶g膩ra (erotic) is predominant among them. Regarding Gg. Sukumar Sen says that the songs of Gg. are written in Sanskrit, but their diction as well as rhythm and rhyme belong to laukika poetry.
